Visit of Our Team Members to the Central South University in Changsha, China

We are pleased to share that Professor Ewelina Król and Dr Gabriela Brzuska, members of our research team, recently visited Central South University in Changsha, China, where they took part in the mini symposium “Public Health Strategies for the Prevention and Control of Viral Epidemics – International Academic Presentations.”

During the symposium, they delivered two scientific presentations:

  • Prof. Ewelina Król: “Innovative strategies to combat diseases caused by emerging viruses through the development of recombinant vaccines and synthetic antiviral agents”
  • Dr Gabriela Brzuska: “Glycans at the Interface of Viral Infection: Insights from Zika Virus and SARS-CoV-2”

The event served as a valuable platform for sharing research findings and discussing innovative approaches to tackling viral epidemics through science and public health strategies.

The visit also aimed to explore opportunities for future collaboration between our Laboratory of Recombinant Vaccines and Professor Guangdi Li from the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Clinical Epidemiology, Xiangya School of Public Health, Central South University.

We thank the organizers, especially prof. Guangdi Li for their kind invitation and inspiring discussions. We look forward to potential scientific cooperation in the near future!
